The background information is initially collected by the parents and then by the child or the adolescent. Once the issues and the request for therapy are determined, the therapist formulates the therapeutic plan. The child engages in individual sessions and parents in counseling sessions. The frequency and the number of sessions varies from person to person and it depends on each case. Sessions are personalised and tailored based on the needs of each individual. Further information can be also collected from the school environment after parents’ consent. Through the therapeutic process the child or the adolescent can share, process and manage personal issues.
